Challenging the Delhi Government to place before the people the CAG report on its advertising budget, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said party leaders will approach various RWAs to apprise people about the alleged misuse of public funds by the Arvind Kejriwal government.
He said if the government does not announce a special session of the Vidhan Sabha to table the CAG report, BJP will call a Lok Vidhan Sabha at Jantar Mantar.
Upadhyay said, "Since 2010 till yesterday people of Delhi have repeatedly heard CM Kejriwal and Dy CM Sisodia say that CAG report is like a religious scripture and they have always promised a transparent governance. Strangely today the same Kejriwal & Sisodia are not only running away from placing the report before the people but the Dy CM has shown his frustration by saying that it is a matter of inquiry as to how the CAG report has come to the knowledge of Vijender Gupta. It seems the reason for the Government&’s frustration on CAG report coming in public domain is that this report can convince the people about Kejriwal Government&’s misuse of public money on advertisements in other states with intent of political expansion."
