The death of a Swiggy delivery executive due to injuries he sustained after falling from the third floor of an apartment in Banjara Hills when he was attacked by a pet dog, has prompted The Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union to demand compensation for the next of kin from both the customer and Swiggy.

The incident took place on 11 January when Mohammad Rizwan, 23, went to deliver a food parcel to an apartment when the pet dog, a German Shepherd who was not on leash attacked him and he tried to jump on the railing but slipped and fell from the third floor.
