Based on reports, it is revealed that there has been less demand for the iPhone 14 base model, particularly the iPhone 14 Plus, and more desire for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max, which has the same screen size as the iPhone 14 Plus and starts at $899, costs just $200 extra and boasts many more features, including an A16 chip, ProMotion display and Dynamic Island, a telephoto camera, and a stainless-steel design.

Also impacted by a price reduction to $849 or $799 would be the smaller 6.1-inch model, which starts at $799.
Apple effectively increased the price of the iPhone 14 by skipping the $699 small variant, which may have impacted sales.
According to the source, it’s unclear whether Apple is thinking about lowering the price of the iPhone 14 Plus.
The starting price of the iPhone 15 Ultra is anticipated to be $1,299, which is significantly more expensive than the $1,099 starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
According to Gizmochina, the price increase is a result of growing production costs, the necessity to maintain profit margins, and the usage of higher-quality components like titanium in the chassis.
