Road blockades, market closures and fresh protests have intensified tensions in Manipur after recent attacks on civilians, with pressure mounting on authorities to make arrests by April 25.
The call for a shutdown in Kargil was given by the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) in solidarity with the people of Leh. All commercial establishments remained shut, and there was no movement of people on the streets.
