Three assailants, including one juvenile, were apprehended for fatally stabbing a 19-year-old boy to death in North East Delhi’s Seelampur area, the Delhi Police said on Thursday.
With the arrest of the key accused in the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Seelampur, the Delhi Police claimed to have solved the case.
Four accused, including a woman who allegedly claimed to be a gangster, were arrested from the Seelampur area of North East Delhi on Friday following a protest by locals after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death.
According to the police, the incident took place late Thursday evening wherein they received a PCR call regarding the stabbing of a person who was taken to JPC hospital.
With the arrest made in the case another girl was also rescued along with the minor, the police added.
On December 18, the court had sent 11 people, arrested in connection with the protest at Seelampur area, to 14-day judicial custody.
East Delhi's Seelampur witnessed a protest in the middle of the night. Now, the protest has become sporadic to university campuses of Jamia Millia and Madras University.
The entry and exit gates at metro stations Gokulpuri, Seelampur, Maujpur-Babarpur, have been shut, according to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
