More than a geographical entity, Rajnath Singh described Gujarat as a "spirit" that consistently shaped India's direction through its leaders and entrepreneurial community.
Singh said that before 2014, there was an atmosphere of despair and hopelessness in India.
In an election rally in Ghaziabad, the defence minister described the Opposition bloc as an alliance of parties with an evil desire to fight and defeat the BJP.
"Disengagement and de-escalation is the way forward to deal with the current situation along northern borders," he said while addressing the Army Commanders' Conference.
''India’s defence exports have reached to the level of Rs 21,083 crore in the financial year 2023-24 which is a spectacular growth of 32.5 per cent over the previous fiscal,'' he wrote on 'X'.
BJP president JP Nadda announced the list of 27 members of the panel.
