Mehbooba hosted separate iftar parties in the twin border districts of Jammu divisions that were merged with South Kashmir’s Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency in the recent delimitation.
Additional DGP (Jammu Zone) Anand Jain on Friday inaugurated the newly established operational unit of the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the J&K Police at Jarran Wali Gali near the Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch district.
The step has been taken in the wake of repeated incidents of ambush of Army convoys by highly-trained terrorists in the border districts.

Three civilians, who were picked up by the Army after Poonch terror attack, were found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The operation that was launched on 13 December was long stretched and concluded in the early hours today.
Sources said the three locals, which include two brothers, were detained from the Bhatta Durrian area of Mendhar tehsil for sheltering militants.
It is worth mentioning that among the nine soldiers martyred in the fierce gunfight, three were Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs).
Not a single terrorist has so far been killed.
