Sunil Kumar Jha has been charged with molesting and sexually harassing minor girls in a state government-run tribal hostel in the Jhabua district of the state.
Uttar Pradesh has also secured second position in the country in disposal of pending cases of crime against women while it ranks fifth in terms of registration of FIRs and investigation of such cases.
The court, in a record three months’ time pronounced its judgement on the crime. The chargesheet in the case was also filed in eight days of the incident.
Under POCSO Act, sexual exploitation in any manner against a child is looked up as an offence and is not excluded from sweep of the statute.

Only a few months back, Hyderabad was rocked by the Jubilee Hills rape case in which six persons including five juveniles raped an underage girl at an isolated place inside a vehicle. All the accused are well connected and well-heeled including the son of an MLA.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Javed (24), who allegedly used to warn the child against disclosing about his deeds to anyone.
The police seized the auto and initiated a legal action under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections.
