Delhi govt presents Rs 78,800 cr budget, earmarks Rs 16,575 cr for education

A day after the Union ministry of home affairs approved the budget for the national capital city, Gahlot presented it in the Assembly.
Gahlot is going to present the budget for the first time. Before this, all eight previous budgets were presented by Manish Sisodia.
Under the single window process, the Delhi government, via the Discoms, has empaneled nearly 10 vendors for helping the citizens to choose from various EV chargers.
He also urged the senior officials to conduct regular visits to all centres, to ensure efficient functioning, accountability and transparency within the department.
He pointed out that once an application is cleared, an electric vehicle charge would be installed within seven days.
Speaking at the flagging off ceremony, Gahlot said, "Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, since March 2020, the Delhi government has launched 452 BS-VI compliant buses, including 32 that are being dedicated to the people of Delhi today. Equipped with world-class latest technology, special care has been taken for the comfort, convenience and safety of the passengers in all these buses."
Delhi's Revenue Minister, Kailash Gahlot, handed over a cheque of Rs. 1 crore to the family of Jag Parvesh Dagar in Najafgarh.
“I have tested positive for Covid-19 today. I have home isolated myself. All those who came in contact with me recently please take necessary precautions," he tweeted.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan along with senior officers from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Delhi Transport Department, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL).
