The Leader of the Opposition, who is in Una to attend a BJP meeting, stated on Thursday that the present government in the state is discontinuing facilities that are beneficial to people.
In a statement issued here, Thakur sought Sukhu’s response regarding these allegations, stressing that the people of the state are demanding answers from him on the corruption allegations.
“Instead of holding us responsible, the chief minister should explain why he created such circumstances that his own party legislatures were forced to revolt,” asked Jai Ram Thakur.
The leader of the Opposition said the chief minister wants the Congress to continue to run the government in a similar manner it had formed the government by lying to the people, however this is not going to happen now.
“Our party, during its mass contact campaign, has seen a tremendous enthusiasm among the people for BJP in all the wards. This is beyond expectations,” he said.
The former chief minister said that many important issues were discussed in the meeting.
