Security personnel while conducting a patrol in the violence-affected area of Manipur recovered a "Remote Initiation Mechanism" for improvised explosive devices (IED)
According to the police, incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 1 pistol, 1 pistol magazine, 4 pistol rounds, 1 silencer, 1 IED, 1 remote control, 2 batteries, and 1 empty magazine of an AK 47 rifle were recovered on their disclosure.
A case has been registered. Further investigation is on.

The house from where the device was recovered belongs to a man named Kasim and he had given it to some people who are now missing. A manhunt has been launched for them.
