Transformative role of robotics & automation in industries

Higher education is currently experiencing a transformation to respond to global trends. NEP-2020 provides a guiding light for this transforming journey. In a world characterised by rapid change, complexity, the skills of the past are no longer sufficient for today or tomorrow.

Online challenges

No instructional technology has been developed to replace cooperative learning that takes place in group projects, field studies, recitals and presentations. It is generally agreed that students do not learn merely from textbooks; if so, teachers would not be required

Education suffers

It thus comes about that schools and higher education have been allocated Rs 93,224 crore, a striking cut from Rs 99,311 crore last year which was a decidedly wasted year in terms of advancement of learning from the preschool to the post-graduate and doctoral levels.

Appreciating the efforts of the Education Ministry and Dr Kasturirangan and his team, who prepared the policy, the President mentioned that the Policy has been prepared after extensive consultation with 2.5 lakh gram panchayats, more than 12,500 local bodies and about 675 districts generating more than two lakh suggestions thereby reflecting a ground-level understanding.
