In a significant political move, the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP government in Rajasthan has abolished nine districts and three divisions created by the previous Congress government under Ashok Gehlot during the election year.
"Not just the TDP and the JD(U), even the people of the country are eagerly watching the election for the post of the Lok Sabha Speaker. If the BJP has no intention of engaging in any undemocratic act in the future, they should give the post of the Speaker to an ally," Gehlot opined in his WhatsApp media group here.
The Congress on Monday appointed former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot and former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel as party’s senior observers for Uttar Prdaesh’s Amethi and Rae Bareli, respectively.
"As per the National Crime Records Bureau, Rajasthan stands first in rape cases in the country; women are not safe anywhere besides SCs/STs are facing atrocities," added Nadda.
Gehlot and his wife struck a chord with the children sharing their emotions, sorrow and aspirations while sharing food bites at the common dining table.
"The budget presentation may be advanced by 15 days or a month as every MLA has to prepare for the elections, and the government has to complete the process for the elections," said the CM.
Sources said that he will remain in Delhi till September 30. A section of the Congress leaders was again pushing for Gehlot's name for the post of president. The decision can be taken by this evening, the sources said, adding, "The ongoing Rajasthan crisis will also be settled in the next two days.
Congress sources said that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is not yet ruled out from the race and Kumari Selja's name is also under consideration while Rahul Gandhi's choice is said to be K.C. Venugopal.
All eyes are on the Raj Bhavan as the BJP adopts the wait and watch approach regarding the political turmoil in Rajasthan where Gehlot Vs. Pilot deadlock refuses to end.
