Three men, including an auto driver, were arrested in connection with the alleged gang rape of a woman from Odisha in South East Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan area. They have been identified as Prabhu Mahto, Parmod Babu, and Mohammad Shamsul.
In her complaint, the girl alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the accused two months ago but police turned her away when she tried to get an FIR registered earlier.
Checkpost police asked to stop the bus and rescued the victim.
The seven accused threw the teen's brother in a well before raping her on the intervening night of April 29-30, according to the police.
The incident happened on December 3 and the accused were the victim's relatives who also got the crime video uploaded on the social media.
A complaint was lodged on March 4 by the rape victim but it is alleged that the police did not take action on it.
