A wanted woman fraudster, who was absconding in two cheating cases, was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police in the Mayur Vihar area on Saturday, an official said.

“It is the latest form of cyber financial fraud. EOW has for the first time unearthed such a cybercrime by arresting the fraudster Karan Kumar Singh, a resident of Sec-19, Noida, Uttar Pradesh,” said EOW DIG.
The accused Bijay Bharadwaj was arrested from Etah in Uttar Pradesh on 9 November and was later brought to Bhubaneswar on the strength of five days transit remand, said officials on Friday.
The arrested accused, Jayanta Mohanty from Chandaneswar of the Balasore district, was booked under sections 419/420/467/468/471/120-B of Indian Penal Code and was remanded to judicial custody. Earlier two persons were also arrested in this connection.
The accused has so far reportedly cheated more than 30 persons with similar Modus Operandi.
The arrested fraudsters used to change the ATM of innocent and unassuming bank account holders during cash withdrawal to dupe them of their hard-earned money.
Earlier two more fraudsters involved in the fake loan app scam have been taken into custody.
