The farmer was admitted to the Malda Medical College and Hospital in critical condition. The bank authorities and the family of the injured farmer, both have lodged written complaints at the police stations concerned.
The Congress General Secretary spent around 40 minutes and assured the family that she would not only raise the issue at appropriate forum but would also help in whichever way she could.
