One bus, two dead, several injured, but DTC has ‘NO COMMENTS’

During the accident, the bus also rammed into an e-rickshaw and struck several people, leaving multiple individuals injured.

According to the police, they suspect the fire may have been triggered by sparks from the impact.
Delhi Congress President Devender Yadav alleged on Thursday that public transport system in the national capital has been “totally devastated” with the depleted DTC bus fleet under the BJP government.
The bus, plying on the Sarai Kale Khan-Nand Nagari route via ISBT, is said to have developed some technical snag. It was en route to the depot after the fault was rectified when the accident occurred.
According to the police, a PCR call was received at around 7:42 am, in Punjabi Bagh Police station regarding the accident involving a DTC bus. Following the call, a team was rushed to the spot.
No casualties so far in the accident, cause to be revealed after report is filed by Crime team, and mechanical inspection of vehicle, say police.
