Dilip Kumar, often called the “Tragedy King” for his powerful performances in intense, emotional roles, had a career spanning more than five decades. He appeared in around 60 films.
On their 59th wedding anniversary on Saturday, veteran actress Saira Banu took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing intimate moments from her wedding night with late legendary actor Dilip Kumar.
Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar married in 1966, when she was 22 and he was 44. The couple shared a life filled with love and respect, though they did not have children.
The 98-year-old actor was hospitalised last month as well. However, he was discharged after two days.
He breathed his last at the Lilavati Hospital on Friday at the age of 88.
The brothers are in ICU but they have not been intubated. They were admitted to hospital after they tested positive for Covid-19 via rapid antigen test.
Fans and well-wishers of the actor flooded his tweet with goodwill comments for the actor and also lauded his wife's efforts to take precautionary measures.
Remembering the eight-year anniversary, fans of the Guide actor shared his iconic songs and pictures, and also spoke of what Dev Anand means to them.
