Dilip Ghosh made another personal attack on Trinamul Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee during his campaign in Galsi in East Burdwan this afternoon saying: "Ask her when would she remove the sticker on her forehead, before or after the polls are over?"
The delegation included party MP Mala Roy, state ministers Chandrima Bhattacharya, Dr Shashi Panja, Bratya Basu, Nadimul Haque, party’s MP Kunal Ghosh, Vasundhara Goswami among others.
Upon realising the error, Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh himself brought it down before rectifying the mistake and raising it properly.
“She seems to be inspired by Lalu Prasad Yadav (the RJD leader and formerly Bihar CM). For no apparent reason she says that she is ready to serve jail term. It expresses her disappointment this way. Now time has come for her to remain in jail”, the BJP leader Ghosh said.
Reportedly, the main talking point for BJP was to ensure heavy presence of central forces across the state during the upcoming West Bengal Assembly Election.
Mr Ghosh further said that farmers are being exploited in the state, and that they were unable to avail of the central government’s schemes and laws made for them through which the rest of the country has been benefiting.
Dilip Ghosh took a jibe at the reported incidents of a few TMC leaders getting the vaccine shot on Saturday, despite not being a frontline health worker.
