After inaugurating the Rashtriya Prerna Stha and unveiling the statues of Jan Sangh founder Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya in Lucknow, Mr Modi said the BJP's values teach respect for everyone which no one can expect from the Congress or the Samajwadi Party.
The Sarsanghchalak, who has been on 4-day sojourn in the state capital here since late Wednesday night, drove to Dhankya and paid floral tributes to the propounder and preacher of the principle of the "Ekstmak Manavwad" at his memorial in the village.
The chief minister made the comments while addressing the state-level inauguration session of ‘Swadeshi Awakening Week' at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal.

The Uttar Pradesh chief minister paid rich tributes to Bharatiya Jan Sangh founding member on his 107th death anniversary after offering flowers at his statue at Charbagh.
"Inspired by his vision, we are working round the clock to ensure the fruits of development reach the marginalised and the downtrodden,” Modi tweeted.
"My obeisance to the founder of Ekatma Manav Darshan Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on the occasion of his birth anniversary. He dedicated his life to nation building. His philosophy will always inspire the countrymen," Prime Minister tweeted in Hindi.
Several initiatives have been taken to increase research facilities in the universities and these include setting up of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Research Chair in 15 state universities.
