Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.

On the global front, the overall number of Coronavirus cases has surpassed the 14 million mark, while the deaths have topped 6,01,000, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
Raghav Chadha further said the AAP is the only alternative left as the Congress party is on 'ventilator' and unlikely to survive.
Chief Secretary A K Tripathy said aggressive surveillance will be conducted during the period in these areas to contain the spread of the disease.
