Since the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), a total of 7,499 complaints have been received through the cVigil platform, with 7,467 successfully resolved, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said on Monday.
According to Gupta, the CVC has forwarded the complaint to the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for further investigation, with assurances that appropriate action will be taken based on the factual report.
The Election Commission on Tuesday said it disposed of 90 per cent of complaints filed by political parties over alleged violations of the model code of conduct, which came into effect following the announcement of the Lok Sabha polls on March 16.

The schools are allegedly forcing parents to purchase expensive books and uniforms from specific vendors.
The complaints were received on an official email address against exorbitant fee hike, buying books of a particular publisher, frequently changing colour and design of uniforms and shoes among others.
