In an ultimatum to the former CM, the Punjab chief minister asked his predecessor to confirm it with his family members, or he (Mann) will proves the allegation by bringing the complainant forward.

At least 16 former Congress MLAs, including former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, his deputy OP Soni and seven former ministers are currently facing disproportionate assets (DA) inquiry.
Terming the case against him "totally political", the Congress leader alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party Government in the state was treating worse than even the Mughals.
"With this statement, Channi is giving himself a clean chit and trying to avoid serious allegations of corruption against him," he said.
Channi's nephew Bhupinder Singh alias Honey was arrested in the case by the agency days before the 20 February Punjab Assembly polls.
