Keeping in tune with the trend, former MLA Prakash Behera on Friday resigned from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The 30-year-old was thrashed by her brother-in-law after she voted for the BJP in the recently held Madhya Pradesh assembly elections.
Interacting with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) via video conferencing, he said that elections have to be won not on social media, but by reaching out to people.

Italia got 45,424 votes with a 28.2 per cent vote share while, BJP's Moradiya secured 96,469 votes with a vote percentage of over 50 per cent.
The party which wins 35 seats will be declared the winning party with a clean majority in the elections.
According to the Union Home Minister, earlier incidents of riots and violence were common in Gujarat as the Congress party encouraged it.
