Speaking at an Eid Milap programme in Hyderabad, the AIMIM floor leader in the Telangana Assembly sounded prophetic when he asked his supporters to imagine a situation where there is no AIMIM and the Owaisi brothers.
Owaisi reminded her that every year, the Election Commission carried out the process of adding or deleting names and the publication of the final rolls.
AIMIM National President Asaduddin Owaisi visited the residence of late Mukhtar Ansari in Muhammadabad on late Sunday night to express his condolences to the family.
The AIMIM chief sought the top court's direction to the Centre that citizenship applications under the CAA must not be entertained during the pendency of the proceedings.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday also said that the introduction of the legislation is necessary to give justice to all Muslim women.
Owaisi also tweeted that this has also raised doubts about her complaints with regards to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Owaisi accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of punishing “poor Muslims for daring to stay alive.”
Owaisi said, "When the Governor told the Prime Minister that the farmers in the farmers' protest died because of him. He got angry."
"CAA is against the Constitution. If the BJP government does not take back this law, we will come out on the streets and another Shaheen Bagh will come up here," Owaisi said, addressing a public meeting in Barabanki on Sunday evening.
