Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane was all praises for ace footballer Cristiano Ronaldo for his selflessness during the match against Alaves that Madrid won by 4-0 on Saturday.
“I’m very happy with Ronaldo’s gesture. This is a team game and it was a wonderful gesture. Karim Benzema played very well and he deserved to score as he contributed so much in our build-up play,” Zidane told a news conference.
“Benzema plays under a lot of pressure but he handles it very well, and I’m delighted with how he played and that he scored. You should always count on Benzema and in the biggest games he always demonstrated what a great player he is,” said Zidane

Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, too, said that Ronaldo showed the true team spirit during the match. “Cristiano showed true team spirit with Karim, who really deserved a goal. I’m delighted for Karim because he’s a phenomenal player,” added Vazquez.
While talking about ‘five times world player of the year’ Ronaldo, goalkeeper Keylor Navas said none of them were surprised with his gesture. “None of us were surprised by Cristiano’s gesture because we know what type of person he is,” Navas said.
“At times like this everyone needs the support of the group and Cristiano has shown everyone what we are like in the dressing room,” he said.
