As his glittering career enters the home stretch, legendary sprinter Usain Bolt seems to be enjoying himself. Despite dominating the athletics scene for a decade, he seems to have the competitive spirit intact.

On Tuesday, the 30-year-old Jamaican uploaded a picture of himself posing with his Golden Spikes with the caption: “My Golden Spikes collection @ZlataTretra  Going for the 9th”.

The Golden Spike is an annual athletics event at the Městský Stadion in Ostrava-Vítkovice, Czech Republic as part of the IAAF World Challenge Meetings.

It was first organised in 1961 but the history of the meeting was interrupted in 1999, when the meeting was not held due to the apparent lack of interest of sponsors.

Bolt, who has eight Olympic gold medals to his name, surprisingly does not have the meet record in the 100y and the 100m as his compatriot Asafa Powell holds the record in those events.

However, Bolt holds the meet record in the 200m and the 300m with timings of 19.83 seconds and 30.97 seconds, respectively.
