India were 91 without loss after 30 overs by the lunch time in Day 1 of the first Test match of the three-match series against South Africa in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

Rohit Sharma, India’s new opener in the longest format of the game, has played up to the expectations, scoring an unbeaten 52, including five boundaries and a six. From the other end, youngster Mayank Agarwal is giving Rohit a good support and is not out on 39.

Talking about South Africa, Kagiso Rabada is the most economical bowler for the side so far by conceding just 16 runs in his 9 overs.

Earlier, India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.

Notably, India had already announced their playing XI on Tuesday in which they included Wriddhiman Saha, who was out of the team due to injury, as their wicketkeeper in place of Rishabh Pant.
