Annoyed over repeated media reports of her party joining any alliance before the Lok Sabha polls, BSP chief Mayawati reiterated her party’s stand of going alone in the elections in Uttar Pradesh again on Saturday.
In a statement on social media X, Mayawati has also put an end to speculations about any third front or any alliance with anyone.
Mayawati wrote that BSP is fighting the Lok Sabha general elections in the country on its own strength with complete preparation and strength.
” In such a situation, spreading rumors about forming electoral alliance or third front etc. is gross fake and wrong news. Media should not lose its credibility by giving such mischievous news. Besides people should also be careful,” she wrote.
She further wrote, ” Especially in UP, with BSP contesting the elections alone with great strength, the opposition seems quite restless. That is why they keep trying to mislead people by spreading various kinds of rumors every day. But in the interest of Bahujan community, BSP’s decision to contest the elections alone is firm”.
From time to time, media reports that BSP could ally with INDI alliance or to go with Congress in UP.
However ,BSP has alliance with Akali Dal in Punjab and TRS in Telangana in the Lok Sabha polls.
