Claiming that the Global Investor Summit is just an election gimmick, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has sought from Yogi Adityanath  government for the details about the past MOUs signed by the government for investment.

He questioned the Yogi government’s claims of investment in the state. “The government should tell the facts of the MoUs that were signed earlier for investment. How many of those investments landed on the ground and how many people got employment,” he added.

Yadav, told a reporter here on Thursday that this Global Investors Summit is just a preparation for the elections and the BJP government is cheating the public.

“Coming days there will be glitter and much funfare during this investor’s meeting but in reality nothing will come down on the ground,” he claimed.

The UP government will hold a Global Investors meet next month to tap over Rs 7 lakh crore investments in the state to reach $ 1 trillion economy.

Yadav also released a calendar based on the struggles of SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav at a press conference on the occasion of Youth Day here.

He said that on this day the work and struggle of Netaji should be remembered. Yadav said that on Youth Day, all the youth should take an oath that the politics of hatred should end because then only progress is possible.

The SP president said that the government had made big promises for cleaning the river Ganga. ” Ganga was not cleaned but the crores of rupees allocated for it got cleaned. To clean the Ganga, drains have to be stopped from falling into the river. We cleaned the Gomti river, but the government ruined it too,” he said.

After being criticised for use of derogatory language by the SP social media team recently, Akhilesh Yadav said that the party has changed the social media team.

” There will be no compromise on the language level. BJP people should also correct their language. BJP is harassing people through various institutions,” he added.

Regarding OBC reservation in civic elections, Yadav said that they have full faith in the court but not in the Commission set up by the Yogi government.
