Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Jasmeet Singh said there was information with the Southern range of Special Cell that an international narcotic drugs syndicate was being run by Delhi-based Nigerians in association with other members of the syndicate in the area of west Delhi.

According to the police, after sustained interrogation, the accused Pawan Kumar confessed the conspiracy to steal the cash amount of his employer. Accordingly, he was arrested and at his instance, the cash Rs 20 lakh was recovered from his rented house in Rohini, Delhi.
"The accused rammed the car of south Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Benita Mary Jaiker. However, the DCP was not present inside the car at the time of the incident," the official said.
The accused have been identified as Vikram Singh alias Pintu, Subham Choudhary alias Sunny, Dev Kumar alias Dinesh and Hari Kishan, all residents of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the official, the incident took place on Friday morning at the Punjabi Bagh area of west Delhi after which the girl child was admitted to a nearby hospital.
The police said the accused was also absconding in two more cases of the NDPS Act being investigated at Anti-Narcotic Squad of Outer District and by Crime Branch.
