Dr Ram Charan: Chennai university confers honorary doctorate on power star
Telugu superstar Ram Charan, who will be seen in ‘RC 16’ and ‘RC 17’, received an honorary doctorate in literature from the Vels University in Chennai on Saturday.
Ram Charan’s upcoming film Rangasthalam is already setting new records, days prior to its worldwide release.
The Telugu film is one of the most anticipated films of 2018 and has struck the right notes with the fans through its trailers and songs.
According to a report in IBT India, Rangasthalam kickstarted its advance booking on BookMyShow, a week prior to its release and the response they have received is overwhelming.

The film’s first day shows are heavily booked by fans and seats are filling in fast.
Considering the fact that Charan has a huge fan base across the globe, the film is expected to open on a strong note on the first day of the release.
Rangasthalam will release worldwide on more than 1,200 screens and the distributors are even trying for more screens just a few days before the release of the film.
As per BookMyShow, the movie has got a very good response as the tickets sale shot up during the advance booking sessions. Many screens have already sold all the tickets for its opening day and very few tickets are available in some cinema halls.
The combination of Charan and Sukumar (director) is also grabbing eyeballs as many fans are eager to see the duo work for the first time together in their careers.
Directed by Sukumar, Rangasthalam is scheduled to release worldwide on March 30.
