Randeep Hooda opens up on next directorial: Maybe I will now make an action film
Randeep Hooda shared that he won't confine himself to one theme and will explore various genres.
Imtiaz Ali and Randeep Hooda are collaborating again. After the critically acclaimed Highway (2014) in which Randeep played a kidnapper who has a change of heart, the actor will be collaborating with Imtiaz for the sequel of the cult film, Love Aaj Kal.
Love Aaj Kal was a romantic comedy-drama starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead directed by Imtiaz Ali himself in 2009. In the sequel which is currently going by a make-shift name, Love Aaj Kal 2, Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan are playing the lead roles. Randeep is a part of the sequel and just wrapped the shooting for his part a couple of days ago.
Thanking his director for the journey, Randeep took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message that said, “And it’s a wrap for me for @imtiazaliofficial next .. a wonderful reunion after 5 years of the iconic #highway .. an honest experience as always.. the joy of work, pushing boundaries.. a rediscovery as an artist, as a person .. gratitude and wishing the whole team a great future ahead (sic).”

The actor also thanked his team for helping him get his look right. Imtiaz, too, shared a photo with Randeep with a caption that read, “a man has not lost his dream; refreshing to re-unite (sic).”
Imtiaz, on the other hand. returned the gesture by sharing an image of the Sultan actor. He captioned the photo, “a man has not lost his dream; refreshing to reunite” on social media.
Interestingly, Sara Ali Khan’s father, Saif Ali Khan starred in the lead in the prequel.
The Kartik-Sara starrer is slated to release during the Valentine’s Day weekend in 2020.
