Sridevi’s co-star Mahesh Thakur recalls romantic scene: ‘We were petrified’
Actor Mahesh Thakur reminisces about shooting a romantic scene with late actress Sridevi, highlighting her warmth and professionalism on set.
Columnist and novelist Shobhaa De’s controversial tweet about Sridevi’s funeral has irked the Twitterati, who have seriously slammed the columnist for her ‘ironical’ tweet.
On February 28, Shobhaa tweeted a sensitive comment over Sridevi’s funeral, which took place in Mumbai at Celebration Sports Club, that hurt the sentiments of many and landed the columnist into controversy yet again.
Irony of ironies. A Diva’s condolence meeting at a venue named ‘ Celebration Sport’s Club.’

Much to her surprise, Shobhaa’s ironical tweet was not so ironical for Twitterati as they found the tweet insensitive and uncalled for and bashed the columnist with their own ironical tweets.
Only if we could exchange Sridevi for Shobha De, what a bad deal that would be for God.

And the irony was only for your eyes. The rest of us celebrated her in life, and in passing. A condolence note would be gladly appreciated by the family and the fans instead of the ill-thought lines.

Does it matter what the name of the venue is?
What mattered was the spontaneous out pouring of love shown by Sridevis fans and admirers
A little more sensitivity in your tweets would be welcome @DeShobhaa— Meera Bhat (@meerabhat) February 28, 2018

Biggest irony – aise Shobha nahin dene waali baatein Shobhaa kar rahi hai. #ShobhaRehneDe

Even actor Jackky Bhagnani felt that Shobhaa’s tweet was uncalled for and raised his voice against Shobhaa in support for the legendary actor and her family.
The truth is we are all going to die someday. The measure of what you leave behind is how people will mourn your passing. #Sridevi Ji’s legacy is to be celebrated. The world will remember that and not the untimely, petty musings of an attention seeker. #ShowSomeRespect https://t.co/lqlNClhfFk

This is not first time that the celebrity columnist has created controversies. In the past too she is quite infamous for her comments that have irked many.
Late actor Sridevi was 54 at the time of her demise and is survived by husband Boney and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
