It’s official that Priyanka Chopra will cast as the lead actor opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat and the latter has indeed welcomed the Quantico star in a ‘puntastic’ way.

Priyanka, who is busy shooting the third season of Quantico in LA, is all set to make her comeback to Bollywood after more than two years. She has earlier starred with Salman in films like Mujse Shaadi Karogi and God Tussi Great Ho.

Fans have been waiting for the Desi girl’s comeback to Hindi films for awhile now and can’t hold onto their excitement for the upcoming film opposite Salman.

Talking about Salman, the Kick actor also welcomed Priyanka in his own ‘Dabangg’ way by taking a dig at the actor.

Salman being Salman, known for his outspoken nature, took to Twitter to announce about the female lead of the film and wrote: “#Bharat.. welcomes u back home @priyankachopra. See u soon .. By the way humari film Hindi hai 😉 @atulreellife @aliabbaszafar #Eid2019”

Those feeling clueless about the actor’s dig in his tweet, Salman took a dig at Priyanka who has been busy shooting various Hollywood projects and the season three of crime drama series Quantico.

Interestingly, this didn’t go unnoticed by Priyanka as she found time out of her ‘busy’ schedule to give the perfect reply to her Bharat co-star.

However, it seems like the actor-director duo of Salman and Zafar have teamed up against Priyanka in a funny Twitter war as he also took a jibe at the actor on his social media handle.

Zafar wrote: Swagat hai aapka @priyankachopra #Bharat ki mitti aur hawa ko apka intezaar hai 😉

Well, now it’ll be interesting to see how Priyanka will react to the man, who will be sitting in the director’s chair for her ‘homecoming’ film to Bollywood.

Bharat, a remake of Korean film An Ode to My Father, will feature Salman and Priyanka in the lead roles and will be directed by Zafar, apparently his 3rd film Salman, and is all set to release on Eid 2019.
