Special revision of electoral rolls from 23 Jan

The electoral rolls for all 68 Assembly constituencies in Himachal Pradesh will be revised in a special summary revision from 23 January to 14 February 2018 to 1 January 2018 as the qualifying date.

The draft publication of electoral rolls will be available at all polling stations, offices of Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers by 23 January 2018.

Claims and objections for electoral rolls could be filed from 23 January to 14 February 2018.

All the claims and objections will be decided by 22 February 2018. After claims and objection having been settled final electoral rolls will be published on 15 March 2018.

Any eligible citizen who has attained the age of 18 years on 1 January 2018 can apply for enrollment in the electoral rolls.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer DK Rattan has appealed all the political parties for co-operation in updating of electoral rolls with the registration of eligible citizens in the electoral rolls and deletion in case of death or shifting.
