Four foreign returnees had earlier tested positive for Coronavirus and were admitted to Covid hospitals. Their samples sent to Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) for genome sequencing were detected carrying mutant variant infection.
As per Health department official, the woman who hails from Mandi town, had returned from Canada and she was tested positive for Covid on 18 December after which her sample was sent for genome sequencing.
