Arson incidents prompt Meghalaya govt to tighten security measures
Unidentified miscreants launched petrol bombs at two police stations and a government office in Shillong.
Both CISF and the police have intensified the patrolling.
Security at Kolkata airport has been beefed up following a red alert advisory issued by the Bureau of Civil Aviation ahead of Independence Day.
According to sources, the enhanced security measures include thorough screening of passengers, tightening access control in aviation installations, strengthening of anti-terrorism and anti-sabotage measures, enhanced security in cargo terminals and parking areas and strict vigil on the movement of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) around aviation installations.
The security alert has been issued by the government and all the civil aviation establishments have been asked to tighten their security ahead of Independence Day celebrations on 15 August.

As per the alert, both CISF and the police have intensified the patrolling.
