West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday extended “full support” to former Union minister Yashwant Sinha in his fight for farmers’ cause.
She also expressed her concern about the BJP veteran, who was detained by Maharashtra Police.
“I am concerned about @YashwantSinha Ji former union finance minister in jail,” Banerjee tweeted.

“I am sending our MP Dinesh Trivedi to meet him. @YashwantSinha is fighting for the cause of farmers. He has our full support.”
Yashwant Sinha was detained for holding a demonstration in Maharashtra’s Akola for the rights of farmers.
