RAIPUR, 13 JULY: Amid the National Investigation Agency probing the Darbhanga attack on Congress convoy, alleging a political conspiracy, the beleaguered party leaders have once again pressed for an FIR against Chief Minister Raman Singh, for failing to provide adequate security net to the slain leaders. Irked thus, the ruling BJP today fired a fresh salvo against the Congress, saying its own leaders were involved in the deadly ambush that claimed 30 lives including PCC chief Nandkumar Patel, Salwa Judum founder Mahendra Karma and veteran leader VC Shukla.
Mr Balkumar Patel, a close relative of slain PCC chief Nandkumar Patel and Raigarh District Congress president Jagdish Mehar on Friday, submitted a complaint against Chief Minister Raman Singh and ADG ( Intelligence), Mukesh Gupta, demanding an FIR to be lodged against both for conspiring to kill the entire leadership of the state Congress.
Among the volley of reasons, Congress leaders cited to substantiate their claim on a political conspiracy on the part of the Chief Minister and few of his close officers, also included the killing of Dinesh Patel, who was not into active politics. “ the way the Maoists searched and brutally killed Dinesh, generally they do not have such a tradition, is a clear indication of something fishy,” the complainant alleged.
A furious BJP retaliated with a fresh round of allegation of an “ Inner hand” in the killings. Party spokesperson Shree Chandra Sundarani lambasted the Congress for politicising the issue saying the grand old party will have to pay for it.
Ms Shobha Soni, Chief of party&’s women&’s wing said, the NIA was probing the killings and people know the truth that the Congress&’s own leaders were involved in the conspiracy.
Mr Anuraag Singh Deo, president of BJP Yuva Morcha, said, the Congress was conspiring to defame the Chief Minister but all such designs would be defeated by the public.
