Amid news of fee hike of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU or IPU) located in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal  on Sunday assured the students of help in retracing the reported hike.

Kejriwal took to Twitter to send across his message to the distressed students.  “Learnt that fees of all IP univ (IP university) colleges has been fee hiked. Students agitated,” he tweeted.

“My dear students, please don’t worry. I have asked the education department to roll it back. Study well. Best wishes for your exams,” the chief minister added.

The IP university students were reportedly asked to pay up to Rs.25,000 as due fee for admission since the year 2013. Opposing the move, the students held a protest march in Civil Lines on Sunday.
