IMD sounds red alert for south Odisha as low pressure intensifies

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a red warning for four districts of Odisha, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy showers over the next 24 hours under the influence of a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal.

Punjab clerk caught accepting bribe by Vigilance Bureau

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, arrested Suresh Kumar, a clerk posted at Nagar Council, Malout, in the Sri Muktsar Sahib district, foraccepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a underprivileged widow.
