The performance underscored the critical importance of minimizing waste generation, promoting the reuse of items, and responsibly recycling non-biodegradable materials in daily life.
The programme envisages to support competitively selected projects promoting circular economy with focus on integrated waste management at the city level, climate-oriented reform actions at the State level, and institutional strengthening and knowledge dissemination at the national level.
What emerges is the willingness to look at the wetlands as a piece of readily available real estate rather than a complex but crucial ecosystem whose ecological patterns are perfect to contribute to a city‘s longevity and better protect it from climate hazards, along with possibilities for profitable replication in multiple instances. Recyclers should understand how to create products that are environmentally friendly and socially impactful but are also economically viable, only then the consumers will be able to utilise it to the maximum.
