Voting in Japan's general election began on Sunday morning, with a total of 1,284 candidates competing for 465 seats in the House of Representatives, the powerful lower chamber of parliament.
Voting was held in 18,274 polling stations from 7 am to 6 pm. Of these, 2,055 polling stations have been earmarked as sensitive.
Voters in the rest of the seven districts, including Thirussur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kannur, Wayanad and Kasaragod would use their franchise on December 11.
It was the modest, but smooth beginning of the polling at 268 polling centers in this assembly constituency of the South-eastern Rajasthan at 07:00am, however, it gained momentum later setting a brisk pace in the voting.

According to the ECI, among all districts, Yamunanagar is leading with the highest voting percentage of 56.79 percent followed by Mewat with 56.59 percent, Palwal with 56.02 percent and Jind with 53.94 percent while the lowest voter turnout is recorded in Gurugram with 38.61 percent.
The elections to the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) concluded on Friday with all three organisations, Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP), National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), and the Left alliance claiming victory before the announcement of results.
Taking the responsibility of poor voting percentage in the Lok Sabha election in respective panchayat areas in three Assembly constituencies, the panchayat pradhans and deputy pradhans have voluntarily submitted resignations to the BDO.
