The opposition has already objected to such a small session and has demanded its extension to hold debates on some important issues.
According to the schedule of the assembly announced here on Tuesday, on December 19, the house will pass a condolence message on the death of sitting SP member Sudhakar Singh and it will adjourn for the day.
Both houses convened at 11 am yesterday. They were adjourned in the late afternoon, after sitting without a break, following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s address.
A much-expected stormy budget session of the Uttar Pradesh legislature will commence tomorrow with the opposition expected to raise issues including the Mahakumbh stampede, Milkipur assembly bypolls and privatisation of the power sector.
The brief session, for a week, is expected to be stormy one with Sambhal violence to take a centrestage between the BJP and Samajwadi Party.
Both houses commenced on July 29 and were scheduled to end on August 2.
Sources said the monsoon session is expected to ge a brief one and several new Bills are likely to be tabled in the state assembly.
