UP Legislature Budget Session from Feb 9: Budget on Feb 11

The Budget Session of the Uttar Pradesh legislature will commence on February 9. The budget for the next fiscal year will be tabled on February 11.

On the opening day of the budget session, Governor Anandiben Patel will address the joint session of the legislature at 11 am.

Disclosing this to mediapersons, after the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, State Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the budget proposals for 2026-27 will be tabled at 11 am on February 11.

He said that on February 10, the assembly will be adjourned after paying condolences on the death of two sitting MLAs — Dr Shyam Bihari Lal (BJP) from Faridpur (Bareilly district), who passed away on January 1, 2026 and Vijay Singh Gond (Samajwadi Party)from Duddhi (Sonbhadra district), who died on January 8, 2026.
