In a decisive action against the Centre’s alleged draconian move to snatch waters of state by misusing BBMB, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has convened an all-party meeting at 10 am on Friday at Punjab Bhawan.
The SAD president said reports of polluted water dark black in colour being released into the Ferozepur feeder canal from Harike headworks had caused panic among the people of the district.
At a high-level meeting with top officials, he asked officials to protect the interests of the Telangana farmers and made it clear that there is no question of backtracking on the issue.
According to Mr Dhara, the water level in the river started rising since last night.
