Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar expressed strong displeasure with the incomplete rendition of Vande Mataram during the opening session of the 16th Kerala Legislative Assembly.
Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar in a statement on Monday said that the change marks an important milestone from a ‘colonial mindset’ to a democratic one. The Governor said the the Kerala Raj Bhavan over the years has taken a series of initiatives to open its doors to the public.
The 8th Regional Consultative Meeting on “Ease of Doing Research and Development” was organised by NITI Aayog at the National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS), Thiruvananthapuram, on October 30-31.
Amid the protracted standoff between the LDF government and Governor Rajendra Arlekar on a range of issues, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday visited Raj Bhavan and released the inaugural issue of Rajahams - the official Kerala Raj Bhavan quarterly.
The Governor said the contribution of women farmers was inspiring and due to their contribution, Himachal remains a leading state in natural farming in the country.
He expressed satisfaction that research work in CSIR-IHBT was being done in the interest of society and most of the research was dedicated to the farmers.
Though the Covid cases are on the decline in the state, the assembly premises will be sanitised every day to contain the spread of the Coronavirus virus.
"In the present context, the strength of the Sangh or the organization is the only worthy concept. That is our power, religion, and soul," he added.
“I have discharged my responsibility by casting a vote. Voting is a national duty which should be fulfilled by every citizen for strong democracy,” he added.
