Voting commenced at 28,758 polling booths at 7 am with great enthusiasm in 13 LS seats of Ajmer, Tonk-Sawaimadhopur, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Banswara, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Kota and Jhalawar-Baran.

These candidates are Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, two Union ministers, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Kailash Choudhary, four sitting MPs, PP Choudhary, Bhagirath Choudhary, Dushyant Singh, and SS Jaunapuria, and State BJP President C P Joshi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address one public meeting each in Rajasthan's Jalore and Banswara districts, respectively, on Sunday.
Power supply was disrupted in nearly 4,600 villages but it has been restored in about 3,500 villages by Friday afternoon.
The cyclone is likely moving towards Rajasthan today, as it is causing heavy rainfall in Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Udaipur, and other southern districts.
"Biparjoy is moving in an East Northeast direction at a wind speed of 80-90 kilometers per hour (kmph) as of 8:30 am," IMD Director said.

IMD Director Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said that the cyclone has now moved from sea to land and is centred towards Sauarashtra-Kutch.
