The Bombay High Court orders and Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation pleas apparently went unheeded as Mumbai recorded a ‘poor’ air quality index (AQI) of 118 on Monday, a day after Diwali, as per official data.
According to the SAFAR-India, the overall air quality in the national capital is in the 'poor' category with an AQI of 286.
